The Community Engagement Specialist is an important team player to bridge between Resident Life, the Waxahachie community and the Sales and Leasing team. This job requires someone with a dynamic personality who is organized, can plan ahead and is creative.Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.- Develop and implement engagement strategies to create meaningful experiences for the Daymark residents.
- Planning and managing events, volunteer opportunities and interacting with outside agencies.
- Act as the main point of contact for the events calendar and communicating those dates and plans with all Daymark departments.
- In addition, he or she must be a high energy, persistent self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborate coordinate inclusive community events with the special need’s population in Waxahachie and beyond with our Director of Community Life, Director of Community Partnerships and Sales and Marketing Director to use activities to communicate to potential families the type of richness provided at Daymark.
- Facilitate and assist Resident Life with community engagements and activities, as needed.
- Increase awareness of Daymarks mission, programs, and services through social media and our website.
- Create a quarterly calendar for events, share it with all teams and families.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must express or demonstrate an interest in working with a special needs population.
- Must at all times meet employability conditions of the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and Nurse Aid Registry (NAR), as maintained by Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities (TDADS).
- The ability to conduct self in a businesslike manner and to effectively deal with residents, guests and staff.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university. (preferred or equal years of experience) Proficient with social media use and strategies
- The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented, self-motivated, driven individual who can serve, lead and set an example of high-caliber customer service for all teams. Team building and culture building are of the utmost importance.
- The perfect candidate will have had at least 3 years of activity coordination in a community like setting.
