Performs housekeeping duties throughout the community in accordance with established guidelines as required in community policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist & coordinate resident room moves as needed
· Prepare Make-Readies for all cottages before the scheduled date of move-in.
· Manage Make Readies for all cottages before scheduled move-ins.
· Performs cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as cottages, common areas, classrooms, and offices.
· Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and walkways; spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets, and runners. Rotates runners in hallways and entryways.
· Collects trash and refuse from work areas and places them in designated pick-up areas.
· Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities, and stocks dispensers as necessary.
· Dusts, washes, sponge mops, sanitizes, and hand shampoos furniture; dusts desk, and floor lamps, cleans and polishes glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills.
· Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
· Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly.
· Reports any needed repairs and submits work orders, and follows up with the Maintenance Team
· Reports supply and equipment needs to their supervisor for replenishing

Skills & Qualifications

Must have 6-12 months of housekeeping experience.  
Must be able to read, write, and speak English, preferably possessing a high school diploma.
Must express or demonstrate an interest in working with a special needs' population.
Must demonstrate a warm, outgoing personality.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking the primary language of the residents. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to operate a car/truck and maintain a valid driver’s license. Ability to operate general office equipment.
o Ability to respond timely according to company procedures during day-to-day activities and emergencies.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
